I understand that desktop amplifier market is small, but it feels that Exposure deserves more exposure. If you google "xm5 site:/ r/audiophile", you only get 3 hits. The owner of the store where I got it said that they never ever had any warranty issues with them (as opposed to Rega or Cyrus) and he's a strong believer in the brand himself (and knows the people behind it personally). I wonder why is Exposure XM5 so impossible to discover? After doing some research, I see that it's usually owned by people who work in hi-fi stores. Rega Brio sounded too narrow and stiff compared to XM5.

NAD and Cyrus are Class D amps with amazingly controlled sound and unnatural/clinical midrange (vocals especially). Exposure S2010 CDP & integrated amplifier in its original German version. The volume control has the most perfect weight to it. Overall build quality is extremely solid (on par with Rega Brio if not better). You haven’t mastered exposure once you can take a photo that’s the right brightness.

The reason is simple: For every scene, a wide range of shutter speed, aperture, and ISO settings will result in a photo of the proper brightness. You can scroll through these options to find the overlay you want to use.
